  • Blog Tool for Educators: Edublogs is "the largest education community on the Internet" where you can sign up for a free WordPress-powered blog.   • Twitter: This is the most popular microblogging tool with many apps for accessing twitter feeds on iPhones and other mobile devices. Twitter posts are limited to 140 characters.   • Yammer: This is the corporate version of EdModo (see above). It links microbloggers from the same company or organization and focuses on posting about job-related topics.
  • Edmodo: This is a twitter-like tool, but it is optimized for use in educational settings and includes other features like upcoming events and activities.
  • Campfirenow.com: Campfire is like instant messaging, but designed exclusively for groups. This elegant web-based group chat IM is great for one-on-one and great for groups.
